Marrakech, a former French colony and a popular leisure tourism destination in the heart of Morocco, and is located just north of the Atlas Mountains in central Morocco.
The city is a commercial and tourist centre and the main industries are agriculture and food processing, wool and leather goods such as carpets, and mining, Marrakech is the 3rd largest city in Morocco.
The famous traditional souq is one of the busiest squares in the world, bustling with acrobats, story tellers, and at night the food stalls turn it in to the huge open air restaurant! Being on the foothills of snow capped Atlas mountains and few hours from the Sahara desert, its location and contrasting landscape has made it an enviable destination in Morocco.
