Istanbul; the capital of three great empires, the host for the cultures of the communities that have been living in Anatolia for thousands of years, and the city housing the most significant structures of the three major religions.
Istanbul is the only city in the world that lies on two continents, extending to Asia on one side and to Europe on the other. Istanbul is Turkey's cultural and financial center. With a population estimated to be between 12 and 19 million people, Istanbul is one of the largest in Europe and the world.
Located on the northern west of Turkey, the city has a mild climate and it is possible to live all four seasons. Having a strategic importance in international area Istanbul hosts a very colorful and live business life. Istanbul has an important contribution share of 46 percent of total export and of 40 percent of Turkey’s total import.
